My friend is loosing his hair and is really curious to know how to prevent and treat it.

  1. David says:

    Some of the more common causes of hair loss in a woman include: starting or stopping the birth control pill; postpartum depression; pre and early post menopausal periods.
    Other causes can include:
    Physical stress: surgery, illness, anemia, rapid weight change;
    Emotional stress;
    Certain prescription medications;
    A poor diet & nutrient deficiencies;
    Illness;
    Ringworm;
    Certain skin diseases;
    Styling treatments;
    Immune disorders.
    Here are some things that do not lead to hair loss in a woman, even though many are convinced they do:
    Frequent shampooing;
    Hats, wigs etc.;
    Perms, colors and other cosmetic treatments;
    Dandruff;
    Age (hair loss can occur at any age, even pre-teen).

    Hair loss can be due to medication, radiation treatment, chemotherapy or other illnesses.
    If none of these apply, you’re describing typical male pattern baldness, and unfortunately, it’s hereditary – from the mother’s side, actually.
    And there’s nothing you can do about it. He’ll have to accept it.
    Tell him G-d only made a few perfect heads… the rest he covered with hair.

    It is normal to loose hair in a small amount, like an autumn leaves in that season. Cream bath and hair spa may help to prevent. Rogaine can be a choice if the hair loss is too much.
